Hey there, I’m Jalen Berning. Father, husband, son, and Heights Title Companies’ very own Business Development Manager. I am currently thinking of what exactly led me to this moment and although that may be too long for a simple Sunday Blog, perhaps I can tell you a bit about myself now, to help better understand me, myself, and I.
Growing up in Tampa, Florida with palm trees, beaches, and the sun shining 360 days out of the 365 days out of the year would have you thinking I probably grew up playing the same sports that everyone else played in Florida. Still, nope that excruciating heat led me to find my first love, Ice Hockey! I grew up playing hockey which would eventually lead me to opportunities to play and live in the great white north, Campbellton, New Brunswick, then Atlanta where we would win a National Championship, then after a year there hanging out with the Biebs I was shipped back up to Gravenhurst, Ontario, then college hockey in the fun and exciting state of North Dakota! Now all though these places are great, and I loved every moment of unfavorable 50-degree weather, my heart would always reside in the sunshine state. In 2017, I would pack up my peacoat and bags and travel 30 hours back to Wesley Chapel, Florida.
It didn’t take long before I ventured back into the City of Tampa where I fell in love with my second passion, which would ultimately become my future career. Real Estate in the booming City of Tampa! Everything from residential, commercial, wholesaling, fix, and flips to new construction and development, Tampa was expanding and at a rapid pace and I wanted to be fully involved in it. So, I hopped on the train and never looked back! After a few years in residential real estate, I explored the world of Title Companies and how they help serve the real estate industry. It didn’t take long before I learned a job as a Business Development manager in the title world would allow me to serve and connect Realtors, lenders, investors, lawyers, clients, and everyday customers all around the area. While Heights Title Company may reside in Seminole Heights and continues to be the one and only title company in Seminole Heights to do so, we strive to help everyone in the Tampa Bay area.
